Dr. Karendra Devroop, saxophone player, Associate Professor and Director of the School of Music and Conservatory at North West University (Potchefstroom) South Africa. Being also the Founder and Director at South African Music Outreach Project, Dr. Karendra Devroop is a wind band specialist having established and conducted wind ensembles in the United States. He has published and presented his research in the United States, Germany, Canada and South Africa and was the 2002 national winner of the Alice Branfonbrener Young Research Award in the United States. In addition to his teaching and research, he is an active clinician, guest conductor and jazz saxophonist. He appears on several recordings and he has performed at major jazz festivals across the United States and South Africa. His debut CD recording ‘Reminiscing’ was released internationally in September 2009).

Dr. Karendra Devroop will be representing and promoting the Pmauriat saxophone brand.
