Accra, Ghana 2018

Hello All,

I wish to thank you all here on this blog and on FB for simply being there and supporting the music. I also wish to thank all my new friends from Ghana

This was my first visit in Africa for a concert festival in Ghana. First part of the concert with my long time fellow friends Soprano Veronique Zuel and Tenor Jean Michel Ringadoo in a classical set up with some very popular and well known songs of the lyrical repertoire .

In the second part of the programme , Darianna Amerally performed some of her original songs with some percussion instruments that she played herself together with the piano . Veronique Zuel and Jean Michel Ringadoo would join us on stage later on to complete the set in the last 4 songs.

Jean Michel Ringadoo also showed one of his other hidden talent beside being a heavy metal singer . I was amazed by his playing of the ravann with much natural ease and proficiency. This guy is just amazing.

We also met some extraordinary and talented people .

I have a special thought for M Abraham who fixed, adjusted and tuned the piano to my needs. I will always be thankful to this man who really did a great job in setting this piano for me.

Sometimes we tend to forget that there are people down there who make things happen for us by simply doing their jobs. And the global success of a project or event depends on everyone that has helped to make this happen.

M Abraham is just a magician and I would like to thank him again for his craftsmanship and talent.

The Ghanian Experience

Listening to Nana is like having a shamanic experience. His music and his voice takes you to some other kind of dimension . This experience can’t be described. I overheard that there would be a collaboration to invite Nana in Mauritius. This would be so great guys. If this ever happens, I recommend that you go and listen to him to experience the magical.

See the man in action .The exceptional Nana who had his show before our performance.

And the magic of music as the universal language that breaks language barriers makes communication possible between people of different cultures and backgrounds.

Here during sound check , this happened : Our Mauritian Sega with Ghanian traditional Music.
